Since the establishment of Transplantation center of Busan Paik Hospital in Yeongnam province of korea, our center has been served dramatically improved quality of life to many of the patients. The first kidney transplantation was performed in 1990, and the first heart transplantation was performed in 1997.

Our institute has isolation rooms for transplant patients. Well trained transplant team including surgeons, physicians, radiologist, pathologist, nurses, social workers, nutritionists, pharmacists, psychologists, and many other specialists gives excellent services actively in every step of the transplantation process. Our institute contributed to enhancing the deceased organ kidney transplantation and awarded the prize from Department of Health and Human Services in korea.
