Since opening in September 2010, the Haeundae Paik Hospital radiation oncology department under the leadership of Professor Oh Won yong, has striven to assist patients in being treated in a comfortable, home-like atmosphere. With professor Jo Seon mi joining in March 2011, the treatment system has become even smoother and more systematic, and in a workshop in April, the past year's performance was evaluated and new developmental directions suggested.

Since its opening in December 2011, approximately 650 patients have been treated, and over 21,000 cases. This noteworthy result from a local university hospital was possible thanks to continuous exchange and research cooperation with many other hospitals.
