The main job of the Department of Anesthesiology is anesthesia and recovery of the patients undergoing surgery in addition to intensive care unit management and respiratory care of post-operative critical patients. Six faculty and ten residents are making their best efforts to provide safe anesthesia and arousal of patients summing up to 10,000 cases a year. Three faculties and 1 resident are in charge of treatment for patients with chronic pain at the Pain Clinic. We are also active in academic research and making publications in The Korean Society of Anesthesiologists, The Korean Pain Society, and American Society of Anesthesiologists.
