Radiation therapy treats malignant tumors and some benign diseases using high-energy radiation including X-rays, gamma-rays, and electron beams. Radiation can affect tumor cells and healthy cells at the same time. However, we treat cancer by using various methods and techniques to affect the normal tissue less while destroying the tumor cells.
